Backlight Type Description BLT NORM BLT ON The backlight turns on whenever any button is pressed and will turn off after 5 seconds. The National Weather Service and Environment Canada operate a system of weather and hazard alert broadcasts covering a large area of the United States and Canada. Typical broadcasts are within reception distance of 25-40 miles of the weather station.
